i10 is delighted to have been selected as Digital Capability Delivery Partner to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Following a highly competitive tender on Crown Commercial Service's Digital Programmes Framework (RM6263), i10 has been awarded a contract initially for 18 months, through to June 2025, with optional extension periods of 4×12 months.
The contract value is £25m-£50m including extensions and is shared with two other suppliers: NTT Data and Kainos.
Crown Prosecution Service valued i10's ecosystem approach, emphasis on SMEs, cultural fit and dedication to public interest.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) prosecutes criminal cases that have been investigated by the police and other investigative organisations in England and Wales. The CPS is independent, and we make our decisions independently of the police and government. Their duty is to make sure that the right person is prosecuted for the right offence, and to bring offenders to justice wherever possible.
The CPS:
-
decides which cases should be prosecuted;
-
determines the appropriate charges in more serious or complex cases, and advises the police during the early stages of investigations;
-
prepares cases and presents them at court; and
-
provides information, assistance and support to victims and prosecution witnesses.
CPS' Digital and Data vision is "Simple, intuitive tools and safe access to data enables colleagues to focus on high quality casework to support the delivery of justice."
To enable this, the Replacing CMS Programme has been established to improve the quality and efficacy of the case management tools across the organisation, incrementally replacing the current case management system (CMS) and developing new ways of working to improve efficiency.
i10 will work closely with CPS and other suppliers, working at pace to deliver optimal solutions through a blended set of internal and supplier teams, harnessing best practices and industry experience. We will use an Agile methodology and a number of core technologies: AWS, Azure, .Net Core, C#, JavaScript, and SQL.
